How long does the install take? Do I need to be home during the install?
It isn’t mandatory to be home as long as you can trust the company. Fiberglass can take approximately 1 – 1 hr 30 min, based on a 2,000 sq ft attic. Cellulose can take 3-4 hrs to install in the same area because we are installing 3 times more insulation. It doesn’t take long for new construction homes because the installers don’t have to clean up or protect the area. Existing homes normally take longer because of the cleanup and protection performed by the installer.
What do I need to do before the installation?
It is important to rearrange storage or remove any objects in the area of installation for more accessibility and for a more thorough job.
What do I need to do after the installation?
Check the areas, look for a required attic card, and see how well the installers cleaned up.
