My ceiling had fallen down and I had problems with my condenser. After my ceiling was repaired they put in new insulation.

They were the ones who originally installed the insulation. They did not charge me to put this in. They even recommend to me a heating and air conditioning company to fix my problem. They were the ultimate professionals, they deserve kudos!

They drilled 1" holes in top and base of exterior wood siding in an old house and injected celbar insulation. Total of 981 square feet at $1/sqft. Also installed wall stops at base of each 18" section.

Three man crew showed up on time, went right to work, did a thorough job and cleaned up after themselves. Took about 6 hours total. I'm putting an N/A for price since I don't know how it compares to competitors.

Description Of Work:
Added insulation to the attic to R38 standard. Installed 13 recessed light barriers. Pressure-filled flat roof extension.
Member Comments:
A comprehensive and accurate estimate was given in a professional manner within two days of my original call. The work was scheduled for the following week. The workers arrived on time and carried out their work in a tidy and efficient manner. There was a small misunderstanding regarding the holes to be drilled to facilitate the pressure-filling but this confusion was quickly cleared up. The work took about 3 hours longer than anticipated but the workers cleaned up after themselves scrupulously and explained their actions throughout the day. We are very pleased with the work and can already feel the benefit.

Payless Insulation blew insulation in our attic as apposed to the rolls of insulation. Our home is 3500 Square feet.
Member Comments:
Their price was not the cheapest or the most we had checked into. The woman who came to give us the estimate, said our home would be a lot cooler than it is. If we were to hire someone to insulate again, we would go with a better grade of insulation.

Payless insulated my 800 square foot attic.
Member Comments:
I was satisfied with the work, that Payless did. It was a complicated job, because we have a build in, in the attic and they had to go around it and over it. They had no problem getting the job done and they went one step above the job without me having to ask. They would move stuff for me and put it back and just did little things, that stood out to me that they didn't have to.

Put fiberglas blown-in insulation in my attic.
Member Comments:
Excellently. Ms. Wilson was very professional, explained our options. The work schedule was set up and the workers arrived on time and accomplished the task in the expected time. I can't honestly say how the job looks as I have not gone up in the attic. I guess we'll know when we get a light bill whether the additional insulation was properly done.

Description Of Work:
Payless initially placed insulation to R36 in my attic. From estimate to completion they were personable, professional and prompt. Overall, I felt their price was fair.
Member Comments:
Several months later, during a summer hot spell, I found a sizable portion of my ceiling soggy and collapsed. I found insulation in the pan and felt Payless responsible. Several folks came out to inspect - prior air-conditioning company, adjuster selected by Payless whose exam was meticulous. He cleared primary and secondary drains (no charge). Both had mold and mildew but very little insulation. My lines had not been properly cleaned several months earlier. Mr Kornbleet and Casey Wilson from payless called explaining findings When we reviewed all the information, I was convinced Payless was not culprit. Nonetheless they graciously came out and refilled my attic after the repairs at no charge. I want to commend them on their reasonable approach.

Susan came to our home, listened to our concerns, inspected the job site, described her findings and recommendations, prepared and explained a detailed estimate of costs and how the work would be performed. We decided to proceed so Susan made necessary arrangements. Later that day, the scheduler called and we agreed on a date and time for the workers to come. The scheduler called the day before to confirm the date and time of service. The two workers arrived exactly on time. They reviewed their work order with us, and went to work. They laid out covers to protect our floors and furnishings, worked as an effective team, and gave us periodic status reports. When they completed the project, they showed us what they had done and answered our questions. They cleaned up all the project residue. The bill was the exact amount Susan estimated. The workers left with a smile and moved on to the next of two more jobs that day. We were very pleased with their service.

Description Of Work:
R38 Level - Attic insulation. We can feel the difference that same day. Our house is 9 years old with 3300 sq ft and the original insulation has settled with time and humidity. The additional insulation really makes a difference with this hot, sticky Houston weather. The who house feels a lot cooler even it is so hot outside.
Member Comments:
Susan came by as scheduled and the estimate was very reasonable. Gave suggestions on the type of material to use on the wall and to blow in the attic. The installers came as promised in uniform and laid out plastic in all the traffic areas. The work was completed in about 6 hours. The cleaned up very well. We are happy with the work.

The workers were punctual and courteous, and the workmanship was neat and professional. The only problem was a little sloppiness with the final clean-up.

Ms Wilson came for estimate. Did thorough analysis of insulation needs. Found two defects unrelated to insulation that were helpful. Gave full disclosure estimate including timing of expected price increases and cost to achieve different R values. Crew arrived on time and completed job leaving no residue in the predicted time. Polite and efficient. Office staff helpful, pleasant and available.

Susana at Payless gave a free estimate and explained the types of insulation available and recommended an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-fiberglass insulation. The workers showed up on a Saturday morning as promised, laid down plastic to protect my floors and furniture while the insulation was installed, were quiet and the work was done sooner than expected. We have noticed a significant drop in our energy bills since having the work done.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. CALLS WERE RETURNED PROMPTLY. CASEY GENERATED AN ESTIMATE ON THE SPOT AND EXPLAINED HER RECOMMENDATIONS. INSTALLERS SHOWED UP ON TIME, AND WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT MINIMIZING THE MESS. CAN'T COMMENT ON PRICE SINCE I DID NOT SOLICIT OTHER BIDS, GIVEN THAT PAYLESS CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

ADDED ''CELBAR'' LOOSEFILL INSULATION TO ATTIC OF HOME UP TO A R VALUE 38.
Member Comments:
OF THREE CALLS FOR ESTIMATES, SUSAN FROM PAYLESS WAS THE ONLY COMPANY WHO WOULD COME AND MEASURE THE EXACT AMOUNT OF INSULATION REQUIRED. THE PAYLESS PRICE WAS OVER $500.00 LESS THAN THE OTHER TWO COMPANIES. SUSAN EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENT R VALUES AND EXACTLY HOW THE PROJECT WOULD BE PERFORMED. TWO DAYS LATER THE INSULATION CREW INSTALLED THE INSULATION.

Description Of Work:
PAYLESS INSULATION COMPANY, INSTALLED INSULATION IN MY ATTIC AREA, THERE WAS LITERALLY NONE THERE. THEY APPLIED CELBAR LOOSEFILL INSULATION, 10.6'' OVER 2450 SQ FEET. IT'S BEEN ALMOST 30 DAYS SINCE THE JOB WAS DONE AND THE DIFFERENCE IS VERY NOTICEABLE, MUCH LESS OUTSIDE NOISE, QUIETER, AND I JUST RECEIVED MY ELECTRIC BILL. IT WAS $62.00 LESS THAN LAST MONTH. THE WORK TOOK APPROX. 5 HOURS TO DO, WHICH THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. WHEN IT WAS FINISHED YOU COULDN'T TELL THAT ANYONE HAD BEEN IN THE HOUSE. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.
Member Comments:
THE CO. WAS CHOSEN BECAUSE OF THEIR REFERENCES, WHICH I CHECKED OUT PRIOR TO, AND THEIR MANY YEARS IN BUSINESS, ALSO THEIR CLIENT LIST. THEN I CALLED THE CO. SUSAN ODRQUE, WAS THE SALES REP, I HAD DONE BUSINESS WITH HER AT ANOTHER COMPANY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. (NOT RELATED TO THIS ONE) SHE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, GAVE ME THE PRICE, I AGREED TO IT AND 2 HOURS LATER THE OFFICE CALLED ME AND SAID THEY WOULD BE OUT THE NEXT DAY AT 7:30 AM. THEY WERE, 2 MEN AND THE EQUIPMENT. I LEFT FOR WORK, THEY CALLED IN A 30 MINUTE TIME FRAME. WHEN I GOT HOME THEY WERE FINISHED, CLEANED UP, ETC... I INSPECTED THE JOB AND WAS PLEASED. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I DIDN'T GET OTHER BIDS BECAUSE I SAW NO NEED TO TRY TO GET A CHEAPER PRICE, BASICALLY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

CASEY CAME OUT & PROVIDED US AN ESTIMATE ON INSULATING OUR NEWLY BOUGHT, 1925 HOUSE. SHE RECOGNIZED THE HOUSE & TOLD US THAT HERS WAS THE COMPANY THAT HAD BLOWN IN THE INSULATION INTO THE EXTERIOR WALLS 7 YEARS AGO. SHE WAS ABLE TO CHECK THE RVALUE FOR US. SHE ALSO TOLD US WHAT WE COULD DO, INSULATION WISE, BUT SHE ALSO TOLD US THAT SOME OF IT WAS NOT NECESSARY AT THIS POINT (INSULATING THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOUSE), BUT THAT IF WE DECIDED LATER TO REINSULATE THE ATTIC AT A HIGHER RVALUE, THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO PERFORM THE WORK.

I REALLY APPRECIATED THE TIME THEY TOOK AND THE HONESTY THEY DISPLAYED.
